Methodology

We had interviewed a total of 9 people around the Serangoon Nex area, their ages were from low 20s to the high 40s about why Singapore has a low birthrate.


We are going to ask them the following questions:
1.Are you married or single?
  • Married
2.How many children do you have?         
3.Why do you want to have children?
4.How many children do you plan to have?/What is stopping you from having more than 1 or more children?
5.What do you think are the reasons why Singaporeans do not want to have children?
6.What do you think will happen if Singapore continue to have a low birth rate?
7.What do you think the government will do to encourage Singaporeans to have more children?

2.Are you planning to get married and have children in the future?
3.Why do you not want to have children or get married?
4.What do you think are the reasons why Singaporeans do not want to have children?
5.What do you think will happen if Singapore continue to have a low birth rate?

Introduction

Hello, we are Brendan, Rifqi, Sakti from Peicai Secondary School.  We are on a geography project to find out why Singapore has a low birthrate. We have gone to Nex in Serangoon to interview 9 people on why Singapore has a low birthrate.
