Conclusion

In conclusion, we found out that people don't want to have children due to the high cost of living, having enough children and working after their children have grown up. We also learned that the government gives baby bonuses, child care rebates and six month maternity leave for working mothers.

This project help us to learn more about the low birthrate in Singapore and what caused it. We had a fun time creating the survey questions and the survey scripts which helped solve most of our problems such as forgetting what questions to ask. Most of the people we interviewed were quite easy going, giving us their precious time and answering our questions. Here are the reflections of our group.

Brendan
I interviewed a total of 5 people, I contributed the survey questions and the survey papers. For the blog, I wrote down the methodology and results. I enjoyed the project because it was fun interacting with people, asking them different questions and getting many interesting answers. It was kinda ironic, I thought this would be boring and tough to do but It turned out better than I expected. It was a very fun experience and I hope we could do something similar again.

Rifqi
I interviewed a total of 3 people, my contributions adding all the answers together on the blog. At first,i thought that this project was going to be boring, but in the end,it was actually fun and interesting.

Sakti
I interviewed 1 person, my contributions are writing down the answer when they are asking the questions. I was really into how we were interviewing people and getting answers from them. It was really exciting and a very unforgettable experience.
